The HR role in BPO is more volatile and omnipresent. This industry is quite dynamic; hence, Employee Relations (ER) functions can be of importance and a key chain in engaging their own employees. There are various reports that need to be generated and floated on a daily basis, e.g., manpower shrinkage and hiring dashboard.

In a BPO, HR works hand in hand with the Training & Communication Department (if any). Along with educational tie-ups, they can promote their employee welfare programs aligned with career development, which may help in retaining their employees.

Hope this helps you better understand the role of HR in the BPO industry. However, we cannot ignore the most important and challenging aspect of the availability of HR, as per the 24/7 working schedule of employees. In such cases, assigning a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a better HR approach is also very important.

Dear all, all the decisions mentioned above are commendable. However, the most crucial aspect is that the BPO industry should be on par with other sectors such as IT, manufacturing, retail, and more. The following points should be considered:

1. Employee surveys should be conducted to gauge satisfaction levels and plan for future growth.
