Food Safety Seminar In Bangalore For Industries - DOC Download

foodsafetyprogram
In light of the 'Food Safety and Standards Act, rules, and regulations' as notified in August 2011 by the Government of India, the onus is on food producers and consumers alike to understand the act and take the appropriate proactive steps in implementing and being compliant.

As industry experts, we at Health First have been closely following the act, interacting with the officials who devised the regulations, and creating suitable platforms for the effective dissemination of Food Safety statutory provisions and guidelines, as well as assisting the industry in developing systems driving food safety aspects to the benefit of all.

To enable the industry in understanding the law of the act and to help implement the same, we have organized a one-day workshop on "FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS ACT - 2011" Food Safety Guidelines for Corporate and Industries in collaboration with ISMR (Institute of Safety Management & Research) and in association with The Commissionerate of Food Safety, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka.

It would be our pleasure to have representatives from your organization as participants at the workshop, which would immensely assist your organization in complying with the regulations and ensuring an even better place of food safety management and safer food for consumption. Please do consider this opportunity, which would also allow the participants to interact with the officials from the Government, Legal experts, and Food Safety specialists.

We invite you and your team to this one-day workshop on "FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS ACT - 2011" Food Safety Guidelines for Corporate and Industries at Hotel Lalit Ashok, Bangalore on Tuesday, 31st January 2012.

Sir,

Your seminar is long over. Can you please help me in knowing if registration/licensing is necessary under the Food and Safety Standards Act for the canteen in our company? Our company has a staff of 325 persons. We run the canteen as per the requirements of the Factories Act. We cook food in our canteen kitchen and serve it to employees during lunch free of charge. We have employed our own full-time cooking and service staff, presently totaling 10 persons.

Please guide us properly because even the local offices of FSSAI, Ministry of Health, and Welfare are not offering uniform opinions regarding the registration/licensing requirements. Kindly advise if we are covered under the Act, and under which provision we need to obtain a license/registration for our aforementioned canteen.

Thanks and regards,
Janak Soni
