I want guidance about the HR field. I am pursuing an MBA from Mumbai University. I have heard from some people in HR that there is slow growth compared to other specializations and very low salary. Please guide me with the facts because I am a fresher.

Like Varun says, decide what you want to do based on your interest and then search PayScale India - Human Resources (HR) Manager Salary, Average Salaries to get an idea of what people earn in various fields.

Money is not everything in life, though it is important. What good is earning a lot of money if you have to work long hours and do not have the time to enjoy what you earn? My nephews and nieces work from 8:30 am till 10 pm in the software industry and hardly have any time for social activities; they are dead tired when they go to bed.

Have a nice day.

Challenges and Opportunities in Human Resource Management

Human Resource Management is not an easy task to undertake. Being an MBA graduate, whichever field you are in does not hold much significance in the corporate world. If you possess the required skill set, then you are on a secure path. HR does not stand out as a strong competitor among other professions. It can be quite challenging to secure an entry-level position in HR, and even if you do, growth opportunities may be slow. Many individuals tend to avoid roles that seem risky, but only the bold embrace challenges. Pursue a career in HR if you have a genuine passion for it and aim to make a valuable contribution, ensuring that your relevance in the field remains unquestioned.
