What does mean by NCP days for PF software and what is Higher flag on EPF?

Glidor
@soma
Date of Joining is 21st of the month
so the NCP is 4 days only

Hi all,
My question if employee take leave for 2 days and leave sanction according leave policy CL, SL, and EL then how to calculate NCP Day,s ?
Glidor
PAID leave is not counted for NCP, only the unpaid or LOP days are used for NCP
NCP = Non Contributory Period

i want to know how to make ecr if 1 person have salary 11000 but he come only 8 days in a month and he earn only 2839
Glidor
salary 2839, NCP 23 days, if the person left the service in between, then NCP would be reduced by the days, which remain after leaving,
say he left service on 20th, so NCP would be 20 - 8 = 12 days only , but if he continue for next month then it would be 23 days

I just wanted to know, If employee worked from 1st to 12th Of JAN 2017, so worked and earned wages only for 12 days ( - 2 sundays) as our salary days are either 26 / 27... so what should be NCP here... and also before we used to mentioned Last working day of employee, now where to key in this information.... thanks in advance .
Glidor
@Savitha
under EPF calculation don't segregate the sundays separate, just mark date of 1st date of working, mark the laste date of working, balance in between if any sunday comes then its within contributory period, even if the person worked till saturday, then his NCP would start from next monday, (immediately following sunday after the working day would be deemed within contribution period)
Glidor
for EPF purpose, count the 31/30/28 days i.e calendar days, for contribution,
sunday may be paid or unpaid, but it can not be counted under NCP, within the continuity of attendance.

thanks for the quick response, just to gain more clarity, cn u exemplify for this senario, say person left on 12th JAN, ( with no LOPs), Jan has 31 days, so what should be his NCP here in this case
Glidor
you have submitted the left service on 13/01/2017 (immediately after working day)
Hence NCP is zero
