Changes In Contribution Of Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund 2011.

Pl find attached Karnataka Govt Gazette’s extract dated 02/08/2011, regarding Labour Welfare Fund contribution.
The revised Labour welfare fund contribution to be deducted from December salary is as follows :
To be deducted from employee: Rs.6/-
Employer Contribution: RS.12/-
Total of Rs.18/employee.

u need to submit in Form D.
if ur organisation is a factory, by default it covers under this act.
minimum 50 employees should be there in case of shops & commercial establishment or registered under co operative Societies act

It is mandatory to remit contribution to the Welfare Fund at the rate of Rs. 6 : 12 that is Rupees eighteen from each employees including supervisory and management staff by the employers of all factories, plantations, workshops, motor, omnibus services, coming under Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund Act,1965. This compulsory contribution shall be made along with a statement in Form of ‘D’ prescribed under the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund Act & Rules.

Similarly, employer’s of all the Shops and Commercial Establishments, Charitable Trusts, Societies registered under Karnataka Societies registration Act, 1960 and who employ fifty and more employees during the year are also required to pay compulsory contribution as stated above.
