sunil_0012
Dear Seniors, an employee wants to take an advance from her EPF account for marriage. The question is whether she will need to repay the advance amount obtained from the EPF office or if there is any rule regarding non-payment of advances taken from the EPF office. Her service is 5 years old, and the EPF office is in Gurgaon. Waiting for your reply; it's very urgent.

The EPF member who is required to apply for an advance for marriage needs to have 7 years of service, and there is no need to repay the same because it will be deducted from his PF share.

Warm Regards,

There is no question of repayment for a marriage advance. The only impact is that the accumulation in your PF account will get reduced.
