Welfare Officer [Thread 380848]

hi everyone,
Is there any compulsion that a welfare officer should be MSW.
M.P.M. can't be Welfare officer..
i am working in a Manufacturing co. in Maharashtra
i also done D.L.L.&L.W.
kindly give me suggetions....

Pl. go through the Maharashrashtra factory rules so that you will what is the qualifications required or else you can approach nearby factories department for necessary information.

Dear Milind,
MPM is also approved qualification for being a Welfare Officer. (I had confirmed it with Director, ISH, Mumbai)
Other post graduate diplimas, Master degrees of Labour welfare & Labour legislations are also covered under the qualification required for Welfare Officer.
You may refer the required qualification and approved institutions / universities mentioned in the The Maharashtra Welfare Officer (Duties, Qualifications and Conditions of service) Rules 1966 for applying oral exam for Welfare officer.

Dear Milind,
You can do your registration at Labour Office, Bandra ( Mumbai).
You need to submit your application for registration with your PG certificate, after 2-3 months, dept. will send you letter for appearing for oral exam. Go through Factory Act , ID Act, PF, ESIC Act etc for oral. After giving exam, you will get the letter of registration no by post in next 1 month.

I am doing MLM (Master Of Labour Management) & DLL in Annamalai University Tamil Nadu. After completing any of this course, wht is a procedure to enroll as a welfare office in tamil nadu.

Earlier office was located at Tardev, but before 1 year it was shifted to Banrdra address.
