Career Dilemma: Should I Choose a Retail Job Over My HR Dreams?

Hello everyone, my name is Ashfaq. I have completed my MBA in HR and am a fresher. However, I have worked part-time in the retail sector for the past 5 years. Now, I am getting an offer in the retail sector rather than in HR. Can you advise me on what I should do?

If you have chosen to pursue an MBA in HR intentionally rather than by chance, consider opting for a recruitment job. Working in retail, especially outside of the HR field, may not be worthwhile if your goal is to build a career in HR.

A job in a consultancy at an initial level is a good decision. It gives you good exposure to recruitment for various industries and companies for varied profiles. Also, you can move towards corporate gradually. But, it takes time.
