Navigating PF Transfers: How to Handle Delays and Withdrawals When Changing Jobs Twice in a Year

gurupr
I have changed companies twice in the last 12 months. I was working at Company X from 2006 to November 2010. From November 2010 to October 2011, I was at Company Y. Since October 2011, I have been with a new company. When I joined Company Y, I requested a PF transfer from X to Y, which has not been processed yet. I am now concerned about transferring my PF from Y to my current company. What will happen to the initial transfer I initiated?

I am considering withdrawing the PF I had with Company X (as transferring PF from one region to another can be time-consuming) and simply transferring the PF from Y to my current company.

Please advise if this is feasible.

Dear Sir, there is no need to listen to others' voices; simply fill out Form 13 and submit it to the related EPF office. Additionally, please meet with the PRO of the concerned EPFO.

I agree with Mr. Sumit. If you transfer your PF account, then you get more advantages compared to opening a new PF account.

Mr. Sumit may be right, but my experience is different. I submitted two Forms 13 at EPFO Wazirpur, Delhi, for the transfer of my two accounts to EPFO South Dwarka on 28th February 2011. I did not receive any response and had to obtain the claim number from the EPFO website. Despite sending letters to the Chairman EPFO, PF Commissioner, and RPFO, I did not receive even a single acknowledgment or response. I have now started daily registering my complaints with the Grievances cell of the EPFO website, but that too is not responding. Even personal visits to Wazirpur and Dwarka EPFO have not been helpful.

While Gurupr may have many years of service at his/her disposal, I am due to retire in May 2012 and am uncertain whether I will be able to get back my PF dues, which I have painstakingly been subscribing to since 1975. Can anyone suggest a way out?

Dear Mrs. Harminder Kwatra,

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. It is very sad that you are facing so much trouble in transferring your EPF accumulation. You need not pay any visit to the EPFO office but simply file an application under RTI Delhi and enclose all relevant documents; the reply within the stipulated time will be delivered to you. There is an RTI official place at Wazirpur Delhi as this was attached to the Addll. CPFC office, not in Dwarka.

Thanks & Regards,

Guidance on PF Transfer Issues

Mr. Sumit Kumar Saxena has given you the correct direction. The fact is to be taken up with the concerned officer since you have visited the office many times. Please also check with them the correctness of your address as they would have sent correspondence and other requirements they need. In case of a poor response, gather the details of the PF Commissioner and write your case in detail and send it by registered post.

An alternate arrangement is to take assistance from retired staff who do consultancy services in that area. Some of the staff working in that department may be of use in going through your file to ensure you have submitted the details in the correct form; certainly, some will attend to your case. Approach the RTI official, which will also work out; else go for EPFO ADALAT. This will be advertised in the local newspaper, and you can also find it on the office notice board.

Your hard-earned money certainly will reach you.

Sub - P.F Transfer

In addition to all the above means of getting the EPFO to act, just try one more time with the Public Relations Cell by sending all the details and documents to them.

Dear Sir,

I worked at X company for 9 months in 2007 and then joined another company, Y. My PF was not transferred to the new company. Later, I rejoined X company in 2016 and left after 3 months without a proper exit process. Can I transfer my PF for both periods to my new company, Z, with approval from my previous employer? Please advise.

My question above is regarding PF transfer for both periods from Company X without their interference or approval.
