Balancing BDE and HR Roles in an IT Company: Is This a Smart Career Move?

Dear all, I have recently joined an IT company as a BDE and HR. I am willing to set up my career in HR, so will it be a cogent step for my career? As a BDE, I have to develop the business, and as an HR, I have to take care of candidates' joining formalities, their salaries, attendance, and recruitment. It is an IT training company. Please, somebody suggest me.
