GRATUITY CALCULATION [Thread 37944]

Can anyone tell me the formulae for Gratuity Calculation. I have been working with this company for 6 years. Never withdrew any gratuity amonut.

Dear Mr. Chetan ji,
Its very simple formula;
Basic + D.A x 15 / 26 x No.of year in service (Minimum service put up is Five Years must)

Hi,
To claim gratuity you need to complete 5 years.
Gratuity formula is as
basic * no of years worked *15/26
e.g
if your basic is 4000/- & your years worked is 6 years then
4000*6*15 /26

Hi,
Mr PBS Kumar has given the correct formula, which is in accordance with the Payment of Gratuity Act.
Gratuilty is to be calculated on Basic and DA. The maximum amount payable is 3.50 lakhs. Minimum qualifying service is five years
