I work in Sales for an HR provider, and sometimes my life, in general, gets me down. I won't go into details, but some of the posts on here are very touching, and it means a lot to me to be able to read them and realize that my life isn't that bad!! I've got a very good job and a baby boy on the way, and sometimes we need to stop and take stock of our lives.

These posts have really helped; keep them coming.

Namaskar. Your sense of appreciation is commendable. I also remember your choice of Chelation therapy under the New therapy thread. The choice certainly speaks of benevolence.

Hi Shawn,

Absolutely right. Sometimes we need to pause, think hard, and take a look at where we are heading, what is around us, how blessed we are, and whether we are doing the right thing.

Thanks,
Bala

I've never been a very spiritual person, but as I'm now 30, I'm starting to look at my life and what it's been so far.

The part about never being old until your regrets replace your dreams - well, I'm there now, and it's a sad way to be. I've got so much to look forward to, and maybe it's time I stopped making regrets and put a few dreams in their place! It's good to read these posts; they fill me with hope that life can change for the better.

Yes. To put it the other way round:
1. Whether we wish or not, change is inevitable.
2. Then why not towards better?

I too join with your opinion. Sometimes, due to hectic activities in a day or feeling taxed with too many responsibilities, I also always blame my selection of this career and profession. However, going through many of the posts and sharing various experiences always pushes me to change my attitude towards responsibilities and life. This has also brought significant changes in my office atmosphere.

Let's welcome all good postings of our HR friends all over the globe.

Namaskar.
Most welcome, Karuna Das ji. My sincere wish is that every one of us becomes a Karuna Das, that is, learning from the past, being in the present, and preparing for the future. Then, we can create a heaven on this earth. Welcome, friends.

I agree with Psyched it's easy to look back and think about where we went wrong. It's hard to look at what we have right now, especially when times are hard. Sometimes our present is bad enough that looking either backwards or forwards to when times were better or want to be better. Our past and our dreams are the only things keeping us going!!

Hi Shawnm339,

Absolutely right on the dot you are. It is the "good" past and future "dreams" that keep me going since the present is tough and getting tougher.

Thanks,
Bala

Doesn't matter which part of the world you come from, your religion, your age... life is still hard to stomach at times. I'm not a spiritual person, but I'm like you at the moment. Psyched my life at the moment isn't where I want it to be. I'm trying to put in place plans to make it better... I just hope that if there is a God, this is his plan to make me appreciate more the positive things when I have them. I've got a baby boy on the way, and I'm seeing a really nice girl, my job's going good... money is my issue at the moment. I guess I need to look at what I have got instead of worrying about what I haven't. I'm the only one who can make myself be successful in my job! All these posts in Day Life are helping me start to think this way!
