Sister Concern

hi everybody,
I wanna know wat does a SISTER CONCERN company actually mean.
what is it exactly that they follow of their sister company.

I think ..where the company has another company with the different name but being managed by the same top management .....
i hope some others can too throw some light ..........

A Sister concern is the alternate company of the same concern.
I m workin as Senior HR of a Company( BPO) which is the sister concern of huge company which deals with Stocks and Shares.
The top management remains the same though, like we have the same directors for the companies
I hope its clear.

If two companies are owned or controlled by the same entity or person, they are Sister Companies.Those two companies can be exist anywhere in the world.

but possibility could be the board of directors remains same, but top executives may be diff as from the parent one like ceo or cfo coo .
