Understanding Sister Concern Companies and Management Structures

Hi everybody,

I want to know what does a SISTER CONCERN company actually mean. What is it exactly that they follow of their sister company. Please reply to me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance for all the replies I get.

I think where the company has another company with a different name but being managed by the same top management, I hope some others can also shed some light.

Hi Vaishali,

A sister concern is an alternate company of the same parent company. I am working as the Senior HR of a BPO company, which is a sister concern of a huge company dealing with stocks and shares. The top management remains the same; we have the same directors for both companies.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

If two companies are owned or controlled by the same entity or person, they are sister companies. Those two companies can exist anywhere in the world.

It's true, but the possibility could be that the board of directors remains the same, but top executives may be different from the parent company, such as the CEO, CFO, or COO.
