Help Me - Professional Tax [Thread 376684]

Dear All,
I am working as HR Executive in reputed company (Mumbai), I need some clarification regards to Professional Tax. if Ho is Located in Mumbai and Branch office in Delhi then Delhi office employees are eligible for PT or not ?
Kindly advise ?

State 2 State PT Slab varies. for delhi office no need to deduct PT.

Refer to your query on the above subject, Profession Tax is a State Act to collect Tax from Salary/Wage earners, profession people such as Doctors, C.A's and industrial Establishments. This Tax is collected by different GOVT.departments such as Sales Tax/Commercial Tax/Muncipal Authorities according to their state laws to develop local areas.
You will comply to deduct the Tax from the employees both Mumbai and Delhi offices as per slab rates of respective state laws.

HO office state's law will be applicable here.You have to deduct PT as per Mumbai slab.
i.e till 10000 its 175
more than 10000 its 200

Dear Shubhada,
Professional Tax is as per state if the remuneration of the Delhi Staff is done by the Mumbai office (i;e if you maintain the pay roll in Mumbai)
then you will have to deduct the PT in Mumbai,but if you do it from the Delhi Accounts of your company then you don't have to deduct it here ,it will be as per the Union territory Act.

I am working with a well know electronic sales and marketing organisation at Delhi.We r starting our online services too.We nhave our own major showrooms at Delhi.I need a full designation chart as per as position for accounts team/sales and marketing-online+direct{showroom}
