Whenever you engage a new contractor according to your requirements, you must fulfill the following criteria under the statutory provisions laid down in the Contract Labour (R & A) Act - 1970:

1. The principal employer has issued Form - V to the contractor to obtain a license under the above act.
2. The contractor has obtained a license within 30 days before the commencement of work from the labor department.
3. The contractor has maintained Form 13, Form 15, Form 16 registers, and also submitted Half-Yearly Returns to the concerned department.
4. The contractor has also deposited a security deposit for the number of labor engaged (refundable).
5. The principal employer has also obtained registration under the provisions of the said act and also maintained Form - IV, etc.
6. The contractor has also issued wage slips to the labor to know the amount of wages by CL, etc.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you.
