I would like all of your advice on the below-mentioned queries:
1. Reporting Accidents to ESIC
In case an employee meets with an accident, what is the maximum time within which an accident can be reported to ESIC? According to the ESIC act, accidents have to be reported within 24 hours to the branch office.
2. Reporting Backdated Accidents
In case we have not reported any accidents to ESIC until now, can we report backdated cases to them (some are 3-4 months old)? If yes, what is the process to follow?
3. Handling Non-ESIC Covered Employees
If an employee is not covered under ESIC, what is the process to follow for such cases, considering other acts?
4. Types of Accidents to Report
What type of accidents do we have to report? How can we distinguish which accidents should be reported or not?
5. Reporting Road Accidents
Do road accidents have to be reported to ESIC, just to be on the safer side?
6. Required Forms for ESIC
What forms need to be submitted to the local ESIC office?
I would appreciate your prompt response to this.
