Hi, can anyone clarify the general practice across IT industry on Background Verification (BV) for an employee is that done from the scratch of his career or the current company he is working with. Eg: If a Manager has about 15 Years of experiece and in that 15 years he has jumped about 5 companies, now the Question here is whether the BG will be done from the inception of his career or Just the current organization he is working with? Please calrify.

First Observe his conversation. BG should be done with the Current Organisation only, as In what Cadre he was joined as and in what position he is now.
You shall assess his skill by here itself.

Hi,
BGV for such employees can be done
1. Firstly as per company requirement, if its a financial process , then all the employments that he has worked for must be checked.
2. If any other or as per the client requirement.
3. Other wise in general,
BGV for any employee is done for highest degree, present and permanent address, last 3 employer's DOJ,DOL must be verified.
These can be done by a third party vendors who is into background verification.
