I highly appreciate your help with the issue below. We are an industrial company operating 24/7, and we use punch machines. I need your guidance on how to control daily attendance in the fastest way possible, either by software or an Excel sheet.

Normal Working Hours:
- Saturday to Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Thursday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Weekend on Friday

Shift Roster Working Hours:
- 6 days on, 2 days off
- For the 6 days: 2 days morning, 2 days evening, 2 days night

Time Table for Shift Attendance:
- Morning shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Evening shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Night shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 2 days off and so on

What are the best solutions for me to follow the attendance record?

Just contact your payroll software vendor, and they will definitely guide you to purchase another punching machine in which the in and out data could be kept separately. You just need a few adjustments to your software, and everything is going to be all right.

Thank you for your prompt reply. The In & Out data are kept separately. My problem is not in the payroll system; rather, I need good software that can help me track the daily attendance records for all staff.

Apart from the software, it's the internal processes that you need to maintain more efficiently. Which biometric machine do you have at present? You need to implement the current system properly. Most of the time, employees do not punch on a regular basis. You can use the concept of Attendance regularization. This will allow employees to mark the attendance the next day. Please let me know the specific pain area for you. Are employees not updating on a regular basis?
