Labour Law - Labour Laws [Thread 372937]

Hi,

I am working with a manufacturing concern, and the Charter of Demands has not been settled for the past 5 months. The Unions are demanding DA, which is illegitimate. As I know, legally, DA is not mandatory to pay in the private sector.

All I need help from all the forum experts is the LEGAL NOTE where it is mentioned that DA is not mandatory to pay, or any clause under the Wage Act, etc., or any reference to any legal notices/documents, legal books, or any case reference.

I would be very grateful if anyone could shed some light on the above topic.

Regards,
Raja Das

I did not expect this reply from an HR manager. Is this the way you handle your external and internal customers?

All I asked is to shed some light on the above topic. That's all.
