I want to know the procedure for receiving a bonus if an employee leaves the service. A person worked from 01-03-2010 to 30-06-2011 and then changed jobs. However, the former employer refused to provide the bonus for 2010-2011. Please provide details on how to obtain the bonus for the period from 2010-2011.

Before giving an answer to your query, I would like to know:

1. Whether you have any proof of employment or not.
2. If you left the job in a proper manner, or if the company suspended/terminated you because of any illegal work.

If you have the proof, then write a letter to the HR head of your previous organization and keep a copy of it. If they still refuse to pay, you can approach your local Labor office directly and file a complaint against the company. This will initiate the legal procedures.
