Leave Encashment After Notice Period Waiver: Are Employees Still Eligible?

If an employee has resigned and the management has waived off their notice period, they are authorized for leave encashment.

Understanding Leave Encashment and Notice Period Waiver

Encashing leave and waiving off the notice period are two different things. If the employer and employee have mutually agreed on waiving off the notice period without encashing leave due to the waiver, then it's a different case.

Leave Encashment Policy

If an employee has resigned and the management waived off his notice period, he is authorized for leave encashment. Yes, he is authorized for leave encashment of earned leaves only. Sick leaves and casual leaves are not encashable.
