Dress Code For Night Shifts???

krishna.siripuram82
My organization is insisting me to follow dress code even when I come in night shifts. I work as an Oracle DBA.
As per our dress code I have to wear tie and formals even when I'm coming to office for night shift.
If I don't follow then office security is noting down my empid and sending the details to Hr to deduct 500 from my salary.
Do I really need to work for this organization and accept such a stupid policy? In fact this is an MNC(Hyd).
Please let me know the solution to face this ...?

Hi Krishna,
The choice is yours, whether to work for the company or not.
Regarding Dress code:
If every employee working in the night shift is expected to follow this dress code and if all of you find it inconvenient the best way is to write a grievance letter signed by all employees working in the night shift and submit the original to the Head- HR and a copy of the same to the Management representative. Request them for a meeting regarding this; as this is a very simple issue and this can be sorted over the desk.
The management will certainly consider employees request and will do the needful.

Hi Krishna,
Please understand that even if it is a night shift but those are working hours and you are supposed to dressed up in formals when you are at work, no matter what time or shift it is. I suggest you follow the rules, formal dressing also helps in creating working environment.
