Struggling with Sales Department Hierarchy Changes: How Can I Promote Team Members Effectively?

Rita Singh
Dear All, I have been appointed as an HR Head in an organization, and I have been tasked with developing a hierarchy of all departments. I have completed 90% of the work, but I am facing a problem in the sales department. In the company, we have 3 BDMs and 4 Area Managers. The Area Managers have been allocated specific areas, and the Branch Managers and Branch Heads of those areas report to the Area Managers, who in turn report to the GM. However, the management now wants me to develop a new hierarchy system so that these individuals can be promoted to the next level. Can you please guide me on this as soon as possible? It's very urgent.

Thank you, Pradip, for your reply. However, we have AGM & DGM positions in other departments. I am looking for a different structure for sales. We aim to have positions higher and lower than the Area Manager to facilitate the promotion of Area Managers and to develop a hierarchy that serves as a motivating factor for the Branch team. Kindly provide your suggestions on the same.

Regards,
