Choosing the Right Minor for an MBA in HRM: Marketing, Finance, or Systems?

alimouzzam
Hi! I am a student of MBA 3rd Sem, looking for HRM as a major. What combination will work for me as a minor as we have minor electives as:
1. Marketing
2. Finance
3. Systems

I pursued B.Tech in Information Technology. I'm in a dilemma, what to select as a minor.

I suggest systems would be a better choice for you since you are tech-savvy. Understanding concepts would be much easier, and also the market demand for HR + IT is very high. You might go for SAP very shortly.

Best of luck

Dear [Recipient],

You have not mentioned your specialization in graduation. If you like finance, then opt for finance minors. It will help you secure a job in Compensation and Benefit structures. Not many students prefer to be associated with this function of HR. Additionally, you can delve into Cost-Benefit Analysis, especially concerning Recruitment or any other HR function (these are the latest trends in HR). You could also engage in Training budget analysis.

Systems could be another good choice if you are tech-savvy. Think twice before making any decisions.

Wishing you luck in all your future endeavors.
