Please read the postings properly and take the time to understand before replying. It has been clearly mentioned in the first line: FOR THOSE EMPLOYED IN TAMIL NADU STATE... It is meant for Tamil Nadu only.

Thanks. In fact, the list was published in the Tamil Nadu newspapers after it was out on Cite HR. It was breaking news, really.

Can anyone tell if there is any delivery note required for submitting the holidays list for 2012 to the Labour Office? Our organization is located in Porur, which falls under the jurisdiction of the St. Thomas Mount Labour Office. Initially, we submit the original document to them and receive an acknowledgment in the photocopy. However, this time they are insisting on bringing a 40-page delivery note for acknowledgment.

Is it compulsory or not?

Your suggestions are required.

Uday

Can anyone let me know what is the minimum number of listed holidays as per the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act? Under which section has the same been mentioned?
