How can we retain our ISO certification if we are unable to maintain records as per the books (ISO certification guidelines)?

Additionally, how can we obtain a clean chit and successfully complete the recertification (renewal) process?

Talk to the organization that will be handling the certification process. In my experience, you will not be able to retain your certification if you have not complied with all the processes and procedures and maintained complete and accurate records. However, you may be able to get an extension of time to ensure your processes and records are complete and up to date.
