Unrealistic Hiring Deadlines: Can Recruiters Really Find a Manager in Just a Week?

manishsawankar
Hi All,

Nowadays, the requirement for human resources is so high that it exceeds the speed of light. One client says, "I need a manager-level person within a week."

Tell me, is this possible? What is the role of the recruiter in this situation?

Manish

Hi Manish,

I agree with you that it is impossible to fill the Manager level position. At least, it will take more than 20-25 days, and I think he has a 2-3 months notice period.

Hi Manish,

I can help get candidates from ISO standard companies, low-level companies, or try to find candidates who are seeking a lower CTC. I can also check with the client to see if they are willing to buy out the candidate's notice period. If that is acceptable, then we can surely secure the candidates.

Hi Manish,

That's impossible and impractical unless with a quirk of luck! This is surely not plucking money from a money plant. You need to bring in some sense to your boss. Perhaps he knows the fact but is putting pressure on you to get someone 'as of yesterday.'

Do try multiple sources of recruitment together (i.e., more placement consultants, newspaper advertisements (if within budget), referrals (if practical, given the confidentiality of the position), headhunting, etc.
