Dear Alphone.
Thanks for thenotification.. However, could you pl clarify whether it is related to only Govt departments or applicable to all the establishments in the Tamil Nadu State?

Thanks for the information.
We have to declare PAID HOLIDAY for election dates, since it has been declared paid holiday under NI Act.
The same has been vetted with Inspector of factories, they also advised to declare holiday.

Applicable to factories and Shops & Establishments also.
Majority of the Educational institutions are used as election booths, hence it is applicable.

Herewith i have attached the list of panchayat unions comprising the district panchayat wards having polls on 17th october, 2011 and 19th october, 2011.
