Mandeep.Kaur21
Hi, I am Mandeep, working as an HR executive in an IT company with 20 employees. We are planning our annual day cum Diwali party on 21st Oct. Could you please suggest some event ideas or games for the party? As I am new to this profession, I would appreciate any tips on organizing an office party. Regards, Mandeep

What is your budget? If it is around ₹500 per head, you could book a resort with indoor/outdoor games and a buffet included. DJ and transport would probably cost you extra. Check on sites like Snapdeal, Dealivore, and Dealsandyou—you will get good deals there.

Thank you all for your quick replies. Please suggest some events like office games, and also Diwali gifts for employees within a budget of 500-600 per individual. My role is to organize events or games; other things like snacks will be arranged by my boss.

I would suggest two games: treasure hunt and balloon bursting. Tie one balloon on each person's leg sides (near the ankle). They should burst others' balloons while safeguarding their own balloons. You can keep 3 minutes as the time frame, and balloons should be tied on both legs of each person. The person who has safeguarded the balloons is the winner. They will enjoy.

Gifts: You can arrange sweets/dry fruits. For games, you can give small showpieces or pens.

Thanks,
J

I suggest we organize a movie contest where 20 members can be divided into 4 teams. Each team will be provided with 1 newspaper, 1 chart, 1 pair of scissors, and 1 Fevistick. The time limit for each team will be 15 minutes.

The teams will have to brainstorm a concept, select pictures from the newspaper, cut them out, and paste them on the chart in a sequence. Additionally, each team will have to come up with a title for their movie. After the 15 minutes, they will need to explain their movie using the pictures on the chart.

This activity promises to be a lot of fun, so give it a try. You can also incorporate a ramp walk into the event by asking all team members to come dressed in ethnic wear. As for gifts, consider items like cups, showpieces, scented candles, or since it's Diwali time, you could gift them beautiful diyas.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.
