Taxes For Apartments In Kerala

I would like to enquire what would be the taxes to be paid while purhcasing an apartment in kerala?

while purchasing an apartment you have to pay the vat and service tax other than registration charges
Vat : 3.03 % (Including cess)
Sercvice Tax : 2% +

if an amount for the purchase of a property is paid to the builder before he obtains a completion certificate, it would be subject to service tax. Only if the entire amount for the property purchase is paid after the receipt of a completion certificate, there would be no levy of the service tax.
