Feeling Stuck: How to Handle HR Demands for Bond Payment and Missing Experience Letter?

cwshr
I was working at Tech Mahindra for the last 2 months as a JTA. Due to serious pain in my spine, I was on Leave Without Pay (LWP) for the past 2 months. Regularly, I kept them updated regarding my condition by sending scanned copies of all my medical prescriptions and reports.

Suddenly, my HR called me over the phone and forced me to resign. I refused, but he told me that they would terminate me. However, we have a bond for 2 years and 1 lakh rupees. I asked him if I needed to pay the bond amount, and he told me that as I have a medical reason, I don't need to pay.

So, I gave my resignation, but now they are asking for the bond amount and refusing to issue any Experience Certificate or relieving letter. I returned all the accessories that belonged to them. But now, I am feeling hopeless.

You need to speak to the HR head about the said issue, as Tech Mahindra is such a big organization, and engaging in this type of behavior with people is truly surprising.

Speaking to the HR head will only solve your problem. You need to review the terms and conditions of your appointment as well.
