Leave Calculation Confusion: Does Sunday Count in a Half-Day Leave Scenario?

I need to know about leave calculation. For example, if an employee takes a half-day leave before Sunday and continues it for four days, will that Sunday be counted for salary calculation as well?

Could you please clarify my doubt?

You have to pay for Sunday because the employee has worked half a day before Sunday. A half-day of work should be treated as a full day. Hence, you have to pay for Sunday.

You are required to pay double wages for Sunday and National Holidays (if prior permission is obtained from the Inspector of Factories).

Calculation
Gross wages divided by 30 or 31 to determine the per day salary.
