Appointment Letter And Offer Letter

Hi ,
I have recently joined a tourism company as a HR Executive.
i need to know the difference between Offer letter and Appointment Letter?

Hi,
Offer letter is a letter "offering the job" to the candidate with the position, ctc and the agreed date of joining mentioned in it. The appointment letter is given only when the candidate produces the required certificates and documents asked for in the offer letter.
The candidate may or may not join after taking the offer letter.

I agree with wat u have written about offer and appointment letter but can you also let me know wat additinal info is available in app. letter which is not in offer letter.
