New HR Executive Confused: What's the Difference Between an Offer Letter and an Appointment Letter?

I have recently joined a tourism company as an HR Executive. I need to know the difference between an Offer Letter and an Appointment Letter. Please send me asap.

Hi,

An offer letter is a letter "offering the job" to the candidate with the position, CTC, and the agreed date of joining mentioned in it. The appointment letter is given only when the candidate produces the required certificates and documents asked for in the offer letter. The candidate may or may not join after receiving the offer letter.

Offer Letter: Given after the candidate is selected and before joining.

Appointment Letter: Issued after receiving the offer letter, and after joining, typically within approximately 2 days to 1 month, depending on the company's policies.

Candidate: If a candidate receives an offer letter but does not join, then they will not receive an appointment letter.
