Hospital Statutory Compliance & Registers For Maharashtra State

Greetings all. Surprised; no information or feedback on our cite about hospital related questions. So, please help out all of us in following queries
1) Under which act does a private hospital come in Maharashtra- Shop & comm. act or any other.
2) What is the minimum wage applied for nurse & housekeeping staff in Maharashtra.
3) What are the Statutory compliance & Registers are to be maintained in hospitals in Maharashtra state.

1.) Shops and Commercial establishment Act
2.) For Nurses minimum wages should be for skilled category and for house keeping staffs minimum wages should be for non skilled category
3.) Statutory Compliance:
a.) PF compliance
b.) ESIC compliance
c.) Gratuity
d.) Pollution board certificate
e.) All register to be maintained under Shops and Commercial establishment Act, MAH
f.) Contract labor registration (if you hire contarct labor)

There is no exemption for private hospital in ESIC Act. If the total strength of the hospital is 20, employer must pay ESI contribution for all employees getting salary upto 15000/-.

sorry to disturb you again. Please let me know does below information correct or not
1) For private hospital in Maharashtra minimum current wage (including DA) for unskilled is Rs 3832.20/-, semiskilled Rs 3932.20 & skilled Rs 4032.20/- (zone III)
2) As per rule which wages are applicable for hospital employees? is it as per shop act or as per hospital wage rate decided by govt. (above mentioned wage is as per govt notification)
3) Hospital's main unit is in Tamilnadu & branch hospital is in Maharashtra; so which state's wages are applied. It is a private limited hospital

In its circular dated 05/08/2011, issued by the office of Labor Commissioner, Govt. of Maharashtra the minimum wages for Hospital employees is
Un Skilled- 3260 (basic) + 1783.50 Special Allw. = Rs. 5043.50
Semi Skilled- 3360 (basic) + 1783.50 Special Allw. = Rs. 5143.50
Skilled- 3460 (basic) + 1783.50 Special Allw. = Rs. 5243.50
This is applicable upto Dec 2011.
