Will Infosys background verification process cause any problems because of the termination?

jameslewis
My job was terminated by a company in April due to some misunderstanding, though I was not at fault. After that, I have joined a new company.

Recently, I have got a job at Infosys. Will Infosys's background verification process cause any problems because of the termination? Any advice?

Hi James,

Most of the IT companies will ask you to register at https://nationalskillsregistry.com/. This is the central agency that takes care of background verification. I think your current company would have asked you to register there. Don't post anything in the forum and get yourself in trouble.

Dear James,

Infosys will verify your previous employment. It's better if you had revealed your termination upfront to the HR. Now, you have to accept things as they come. HR may ask you to justify yourself if they come to know about your termination. If you are confident enough that you can justify, reveal the information now and justify.

Hope for the best.

Dear James,

Infosys has a very good background verification system, and it is likely that your past may be truly revealed. But at the same time, they give ample time to justify yourself before the panel. It's up to you how well you can justify your past termination. This is from my personal past experience. Try for the best.

If someone gains employment in an MNC based on their most recent (second) company experience of 2 years, is it compulsory to mention previous employment details (older, before 2 years, i.e., the first company) if it is not relevant to the IT field?

Infosys conducts background verification of their employees, and if they discover that you were terminated by your previous company, they will inquire about the reason for the termination. If you believe the termination was not due to any fault of yours, there is no need to worry. You should be prepared to explain the circumstances if required.

Regarding whether this situation could cause you problems, I would like to mention that Infosys is quite meticulous in their hiring process. There is a possibility that they may choose to overlook your profile and select a candidate with a less complicated background.

I hope this addresses your concerns.
