How Can I Recover My Superannuation Funds After Resigning from My Job in Delhi?

anitaisme
I was working for a limited company in Delhi for the past 2 and a half years. I resigned from the company 1 year back. The company deducted ₹12,000 per month as superannuation. They do not have any tie-ups with a pension scheme or LIC, and they stopped the superannuation scheme in the company a year before. They informed me that they would return the money. Since I resigned from the company, I was told that I am not eligible to get the superannuation amount. Can you please guide me regarding how I could go about getting this amount back?

Superannuation Scheme Eligibility

The superannuation scheme is a policy of the company, and the rules may include a condition that those who leave the company before completing at least five years of service will not be eligible to receive the amount. That is why the amount is not paid to you. However, if the so-called amount was deducted from your salary during your service with the company, you are entitled to receive the deducted amount.

Dear team, as per my knowledge, one can withdraw the superannuation amount only after attaining the age of 58 by way of annuities from LIC. If any member wishes to withdraw before the age of 58, they will receive only a portion of the amount and will have to forego the remaining part. Alternatively, they can transfer the accumulations to a similar fund maintained by another company. You can request your superannuation number from your company and apply using Form A or B.
