Hi all, I joined a company in the year 2011. After 2 months, I left the company without informing them. The company has started sending me letters regarding termination and outstanding dues. Recently, they sent me an email demanding payment of 50 thousand rupees within 7 days, threatening to send a legal notice if I fail to comply. I am unable to pay such a large amount at once.
Notice for Termination:
A written notice of 2 months is required for the termination of employment by either party. You are expected to serve the stipulated notice period, and early release is at the discretion of the management. If you leave your employment without giving the required notice, no relieving letter will be issued, and the settlement of dues will be at the discretion of the management. However, under XYZ Company India's disciplinary procedure, your services can be terminated without any notice period.
Please advise on the best course of action in this situation.
