Am I Eligible for ESIC Maternity Benefits After Changing Jobs? Seeking Advice

mamviv
Hi, I want to know if I am eligible for maternity benefits from ESIC. I have my ESIC card from a previous company, which I left on March 21st. I joined another company on July 1st, and my due date is November 28th. Can someone advise on my eligibility for benefits?

No, you are not entitled to maternity benefits because you need to have a 9-month contribution for it.

Please provide the following information:

1. Date of Joining (DoJ) and Date of Leaving (DoL) from the previous company, salary, and whether you were covered under ESI.
2. Date of Joining (DoJ) in the current company, salary, and whether you are covered under ESI.
3. Is there any gap between joining the two companies? If yes, how many days?

Thank you.

You have mentioned that you are pregnant and have an ESIC card from your previous company. You left that company on March 21st and recently joined another company on July 1st. Your due date is November 28th, and you are wondering if you are eligible for maternity benefits from ESIC.

Eligibility for Maternity Benefits from ESIC

In this regard, please note that to be entitled to maternity benefits from ESIC, a female employee must complete 70 days of employment under the management and contribute to ESI for 70 days in a year.
