An employee can be called to work on any holiday with compensatory off or with OTA in liu of their attendance, except on three national holidays for which only double monetary compensation than the normal becomes due to employees. The three national holidays, as declared by the Government of India are Republic Day (26th january), Independence Day (15th August) and Mahatma Gandhi's Birthday (2nd October).
