Anyone can improve his or her communication skills by practicing the below.
• Listen to others / watch English news. So that you will understand various accents.
• While listening grab few words which are new to you. Then browse their synonyms. Sometime later try to use those words when required.
• Talk frequently. No matter what kind of terminology you used.
I’ve experienced the similar situations in the initial days of my profession. Improve CONFIDENCE that is the only one which gives you the power to move on.

Please stop comparing yourself with others and get self-demotivated. Believe in SELF-DEVELOPMENT and accommodate changes gradually rather expecting RADICAL CHANGE which is quite unstable. as per my view u need not to increase ur skills to mingle with ur colleagues. one thing u need is self confidence and u should know ur skills and capabilities.
u r very talented than those because u compete with convent pass outs and gain a job though u r not a convent pass.
u should feel proud for ur achievement
build confidence and mingle with them
in fact u r superior that those.
