My wife joined a BPO company before marriage. Her maiden name is registered at the PF office. During this job, she got married, and the marriage certificate was submitted to the company. However, the company failed to change her name at the PF office. She left the job after 3 years. Now she wants to withdraw her PF. Will the existing name (maiden) at the PF office be a problem? What is the procedure?

Procedure for PF Withdrawal with Name Change

If you have a bank account with an old name, then there is no problem. Just fill up the PF Withdrawal Form No. 19 & 10-C from the company with your old name, old signature, and a xerox copy of the old name bank account.

Secondly, if you have a bank account with a new name, fill up the PF Withdrawal forms with the new name along with an attested marriage certificate xerox copy and submit it to the PF Office through your previous employer.
