Don't worry, your experience does matter if you want to go through the recruitment process. Make sure that you will be involved in the direct recruitment procedure; then only it will add an advantage to your profile. It involves direct interaction with the candidates, conducting interviews, managing client relationships, salary negotiations, and more. Nowadays, many companies, including MNCs, have profiles related to recruitment exclusively.

If you wish to pursue a career in Core HR or HR generalist profiles, then you will have to move in a slightly different direction. In practical terms, for a core HR profile, you may have to struggle a bit. Remember, no job is inherently good or bad; it's up to you to decide which career path you want to choose. The option is yours.

By working with an HR Consulting firm, you will improve all managerial and required corporate skills such as confidence, communication, decision-making, convincing, target achievement, and teamwork, among others. One day, you may become a smart recruiter in the marketplace.

• Any work experience becomes countable or important in relation to the job you are seeking or applying for. If you are seeking a job in HR and you have some experience in Accounts, then obviously, accounts experience will not be counted and it is not important.
  
• Secondly, one should draft his/her resume properly to present his/her experience in a structured and detailed manner to help understand the person screening the resumes to decide whether the experience is countable and important.

We have two types of consultancy: one is a placement agency, and the other is outsourced HR jobs, i.e., conducting compliance audits in MNCs, etc. Since you have recruitment experience, why not try for these agencies, which would give you greater exposure.

I am working in a reputed KPO in a financial services profile for the last 5 years. I have received one promotion, and currently, I am working as an Assistant Manager. However, I have a strong desire to build my career in an HR profile. I have handled recruitments for my process in terms of relevant experience for an HR profile.
