Exploring Job Satisfaction: How to Compare Companies With and Without HR Departments?

A Kalkur
I'm going to study the level of job satisfaction that exists in employees working for organizations with and without an HR department. However, I cannot use an already existing job satisfaction questionnaire as it does not capture whether the satisfaction, if any, can be attributed to the presence of an HR department. Please help me out with regard to the same. How can I go ahead and conduct a quantitative comparative study?

Thank you for the reply. Is this questionnaire measuring job satisfaction only with regard to HR as the cause? Also, could you please provide me with information regarding the validity, reliability, and standardization of the same? I am concerned because my college will not permit the use of an unstandardized scale.

Thanks and Regards,
Ashwini

Dear Ashwini, do you work for the college or are you a student? If you are looking for a tried and tested instrument, then you may have to pay for such a questionnaire. They do not come cheap. Job satisfaction (JS) does not depend solely on the HR department's services. There are more factors that affect JS than the services provided by HR. Hence, I wonder whose idea it is to just measure HR issues.

Had you searched CiteHR, you would have found some discussions at https://www.citehr.com/104163-please...epartment.html found by web search at Google.

Have a nice day.

I'm a student at the college. Specifically, I need an instrument that measures how the HR department contributes to satisfaction. I've found one developed by TV Rao and Fr. Abraham.

Thanks

Hi, I'm a college student here in the Philippines, and I urgently need a standardized questionnaire on job satisfaction, along with its scoring procedure. Please help me. Thanks!
