Stuck Without April's Pay: Can I Take Legal Action Against My Consultancy?

maks_mats
Respected Sir/Madam, I was working with Alstom-Transport India under the payrolls of Dechen Enterprise, a consultancy in Bangalore. It was a contract job of 2 months (Feb 23 to April 30, 2011). I left the company as per the contract. Now Dechen is not paying me the salary for the month of April 2011. First, they said they have not received the payment from the company, Alstom. Once it was released from the company, they are giving one excuse after another over the delay in payment. It's been more than two months, and they are continuing with this kind of behavior without providing any proper reasons. Can I take any legal action against this consultancy? If so, please guide me through the process.

The consultancy is not professional. They always avoid taking responsibility for things that have been done to you. Therefore, please speak to the owner of the consultancy and take appropriate action.

Rather than talking to the owner of the Consultancy, I suggest you write formally to the Local Head of Alstom Transport India, giving the details of the case and asking for justice and fair play. It's up to you to cc: Dechen Enterprise.

All the best.

Dear Mr. Maks_Mats,

As suggested by others, first send a request for the payment of arrears of salary to your employer. Do not send an email or through courier. Send the request for the arrears through registered post with acknowledgment due. In case you are not able to get the amount, you can think of the next step.
