Portable Hand Grinders Without A Guard

dipil
Dear Shashikant
I have discussed with my technical people... Also had a discussion with the supplier who is supplying us the grinders... I got the following common comment as below:
"We have to select the right Grinder for the job, it's not we remove the guard to suit the grinder for the job..."
So I think you may contact suppliers like Bosch and discuss your problem... Their technical team will come and analyze the location where you are facing this difficulty... Then they will accordingly advice you the right type of grinder... Just purchase the same and put on job...
Please let me know your comments...
Dear Raghu: Good work... Let's keep up the pace...
Dear TS: Thanks for your motivational comments... Keep on participating and motivate us for active participation...

I have a suggestion Dipil Kumar.
I am not sure about Shashikant's location [the visit by any technical team could take awhile if it's remote--my personal exp].
But if YOU are in a town/city where you can have easy/better access to the local Reps of companies like Bosch, etc, why not talk to them & get some e-brochures or website Links of their relevant products & pass them on to Shashikant. To an extent this could help him finding a solution FASTER.

That's INDEED very nice & thoughtful of you Raghu--to interact with Bosch on Shashikant's behalf.
An apt example 'in practice' of the spirit of SHARING so very prevalent in CiteHR.
Do try to keep it up.

Normally none of the Moderators were participating actively into the discussions under the forum title "Safety Health of your Employees"... However request you to have a look on us and give your valuable feedback's... This will surely improve the forum day by day...
A lot new members. especially Safety Professional's are joining into the forum... Hopefully we will success in making this an assured platform to get solutions to the query of our forum members regarding Safety Health and Environment...
Waiting for the reply of Mr. Shashikant and reply of Bosch team through Raghu to close this discussion...
In the mean time great technical details are available in the website of Bosch... Click the below link and browse through different type of grinders...

Dear All,
In my experience, this problem persists everywhere where grinding in corners has to be done. The guard obstructs the grinding in corner solution. Small angle grinders are vailable and those can be used in such locations. Skilled grinders shall be used with all PPEs.

Happy to see the direction this thread is moving towards.
And if Dipil Kumar's comments ["........we will success in making this an assured platform...............regarding Safety Health and Environment..."] DO INDEED BECOME A REALITY, I can see CiteHR EXPANDING the very definition of 'HR' from the way we understand it at present:FROM the typical HR function as such TO wherever Human involvement exists--IRRESPECTIVE of the function & role.
Rgds,
TS
