You can explain the employee that the absenteeism will affect the earned leave
If the employee is worked for 240 days then only he can be eligible for earned leave, gratuity.Some companies the employee who was not worked for 240 days in the year he will not be eligible for annual increment. We can also explain that the absenteeism will affect PF contribution and also Bonus. If ladies, it also affect the materinty leave. (for Maternity leave she has to work 84 das).
You can also explain these things and also put a notice board to give awarness among employees.
