Can Staff Nurses Be Transferred During Maternity Leave? Seeking Clarity on Policies

Hi, One of my friends is a staff nurse working under the Andhra Pradesh government (Dept of Health). She is on maternity leave and has been transferred to another location. Is there any Government Order (GO) or policy that prohibits the transfer of such employees who are on maternity leave? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

As per the Maternity Benefit Act, "her service conditions cannot be altered to her disadvantage during this period." She can contest against her transfer by quoting the MB Act.

Hi Pon, could you please let me know how to contest and where to? Please let me know how we should approach this. The process, whom to contact, what are the documents needed, where should we appeal, etc. She is under the Dept of Health, Government of AP.
