Do MNCs Accept Distance Learning Degrees? Seeking Advice on Certificate Validity

Hi, I am Priya Rao. I am placed as a Senior Consultant in FICO for an MNC. I completed my degree from 2001 to 2004 (a three-year course in distance mode) from Viswa Bharathi University. I also completed a postgraduate course (a two-year course in distance mode) from Punjab Technical University. Could you please let me know if MNC companies accept my certificates? Thank you.

If the courses are approved by the government, why should you worry? No special status is required for MNCs; they are nowhere superior to domestic companies.

If the courses are approved by the concerned university and government, you don't need to worry about your certificate's authorization.

If you have proof that the certificates produced by a university were recognized by UGC/AICTE/DEC, then you don't need to worry. You can also verify your certificates with the HRD Ministry in Delhi without any charge and with a seal. This verification can also be helpful for opportunities abroad.

Ultimately, the acceptance of your degree/certificate depends on the discretion of the management/company. Many organizations accept certificates and update their databases, but there is no guarantee of a promotion.
