Salary break up - how the gross salary is divided into the breakup of basic, hra and conveyance?

I want to know that how the gross salary is divided into the breakup of basic ,hra, and conveyance.

below is the salary breakup..
Basic- 40 % of gross
HRA- 50 % of besic
convenynce- 800 rs monthly
medical -1000 or 1200 monthly
other allown- depends on company to company
deductions-
EPF-12 % on gross
ESIC-3 % on gross( when gross salary is less or equal to 15000)

EPF is detected only from Basic pay not from DA
DA - Driving allowance, this is been given for work which requires travel, also as conveyance.

Dear Friend,
DA is Dearness Allowance and not Driving allowance. Therefore EPF is deducted on Basic + D.A. (12%).

Dear Nitul,
If your Salary element contains DA ( Dearness Allowance ) then that also to ba taken along with Basic for EPF calculations.
PF Employer = 12% of Basic + DA
PF Employee = 12% of Basic + DA

Ihave just finished my MBA in HR. I am having a doubt regarding the SALARY BREAKUP ( especially BASIC AND HRA ). somewhere i got it will be 40 to 50 % of gross salary or somewhere i got it will be 30 to 35 %.
i want to know, is there any fixed percentage for the salry break up?
i am so keen to be in RECRUITMENT field.
