Is My Employer Really Matching My Provident Fund Contribution? How Can I Withdraw Without Their Signature?

Srinivas S.K
How do I know whether the employer is contributing an equal share of the provident fund? Many of my colleagues have mentioned that only 30% was contributed by the employer. My monthly provident fund deduction was Rs. 702/-, and I would also like to know if there is any other way for me to withdraw the PF amount without the signature of the employer.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Srinivas,

You can check your employer's contribution details in the Form 23 issued annually by the PF Organisation. As 8.33% of 12%, i.e., almost 70% of the employer's contribution goes to the EPS fund, it will not be shown in this Form 23. Only 3.67% of 12%, i.e., 30% of your employer's share, is shown in the annual statement, which please note.

You can withdraw the entire contributions without the signature of your last employer. You can apply with the signature of your bank manager, an MLA, etc., in the claim forms.

Dear Mr. Sethupathy, I had a doubt about the employer PF contribution. One of my friends recently joined 3 months ago in an MNC company. When he received his first month's salary, they deducted the provident fund from him twice from his salary only. According to this, the employer didn’t contribute from their end. Kindly please suggest us to know about the Provident Fund Act.
